Terms of Use
Last updated October 29, 2026
- Metamorphosis is a place to play with AI people and stories. It's for fun, not advice.
- The AI characters make things up. Don't count on anything they say as true.
- You need to be 13 or older, or playing with a parent.
- Be decent. No using it to hurt, harass or trick anyone.
- Paid something and it didn't work? Contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right.
Who we are
Metamorphosis (metamorphosis.garden) is run by Southern Minnesota Services LLC in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use Metamorphosis on your own. Kids under 13 can play only with a parent or guardian who is there with them and who agrees to these terms for them. Please don't type a child's real name, address or other personal details into the site.
The AI makes things up
The people, stories, buildings and answers on this site are made by computer AI. They can be wrong, strange, or out of line. Nothing on the site is medical, legal, money, or safety advice, and you shouldn't make real decisions based on it. The characters are fictional. Any resemblance to real people is by chance.
Playing fair
Don't use Metamorphosis to: break the law; harass, threaten or bully anyone; make sexual content or anything involving minors in a harmful way; share someone else's private information; try to break, overload or hack the site; or pretend to be someone you're not. We may block ideas, remove content, or limit access for anyone who does.
What you make
Stories, ideas and buildings you create are yours to enjoy. Some things you make are shared with other players (like buildings in the Town and votes on town drama), so don't put anything there you want kept private. You let us show, store and use what you create on the site so the game can work. Free buildings in the Town may be removed after a while; paid ones are kept.
Things players share
When you share something on the site, like a story on the Story Shelf or an idea for the site, it's public and stays up so others can enjoy it. Only share things you made or have the right to share. It must be family friendly and legal: nothing hateful, sexual, violent in a graphic way, about real people, or copied from someone else's book, show or game. Shared stories are checked by an AI before they go up, anyone can report one, and we remove anything that breaks these rules. You give us permission to show, store and let other players play what you share on Metamorphosis.
Payments
The site is free to try. Some extras cost money, like the $3 Adventure Pass (one payment, unlimited new Stranded stories), Town land, or a tip. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Prices are in US dollars.
Refunds: If you paid and the thing you paid for didn't work, use our contact page within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. Tips are gifts and aren't refunded. Since the AI runs on outside services, a pass can't promise the site will be up every minute; if it's down for a long stretch, ask and we'll refund.
Free AI services and limits
Metamorphosis runs on outside AI services (like Google, Groq, Cloudflare and others). They have daily limits, so sometimes the AI or the voices may be slow, sound different, or rest until the next day. We can change, pause or remove features at any time.
No promises
The site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, safe for every purpose, or always available, and we aren't responsible for losses from using it. If we are ever found responsible for something, the most we owe you is what you paid us in the last 12 months, or $20, whichever is more.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, the date at the top changes. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and contact
These terms follow Minnesota law. Questions, problems, or something the AI said that shouldn't have been said? Use our contact page.
