- No sign-up. We don't ask for your name, email or phone to play.
- What you type or say goes to free AI services so they can answer. Don't share private info.
- Your game progress is saved in your own browser.
- If you pay, Stripe handles it. We get your email from Stripe, never your card.
- We don't sell your information.
What we keep
In your browser: your saved stories, settings (like voices on or off), a random player code so the Town's people can remember you, and your Adventure Pass code if you bought one. You can wipe all of it by clearing your browser's site data.
On our side: short notes the Town's AI people keep about chats with your random player code (so they remember you next time), buildings you make in the Town, votes, and daily counts used to stop overuse. We also see your internet address (IP) briefly to keep things fair, like counting the one free story and daily limits. We don't put your IP together with your name.
If you pay: Stripe processes the payment. We can see the email you gave Stripe and what you bought, so we can keep your purchase working and help if something goes wrong.
Your voice
When you tap the 🎤 microphone, your browser turns your speech into text. We only get the text, the same as if you typed it. We don't record or keep your voice. The AI characters' voices are made by outside voice services from the words they say.
Outside AI services
To make the stories and replies, what you type or say is sent to outside AI companies such as Google (Gemini), Groq, Cloudflare and OpenRouter. They follow their own privacy rules and some may use what's sent to improve their AI. That's why we ask you not to type private information like your full name, address, passwords or anything about your health.
Kids
Metamorphosis is for ages 13 and up, or younger kids playing with a parent. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has shared personal info, tell us and we'll delete it.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising trackers. The site uses your browser's own storage only to save your games and settings.
Deleting your stuff
Clear your browser's data for metamorphosis.garden to remove what's saved on your device. To have what we keep removed (like Town notes or a purchase record we're not required to keep), use our contact page and include your player code or the email you paid with.
